Lindsey Vonn On Tiger Woods: "I Hope This Latest Comeback Sticks"

GOLF.com- Add Lindsey Vonn to the list of golf fans rooting for a Tiger Woods comeback.

In a Sports Illustrated piece by Tim Layden, the writer asks Vonn what it was like to date a man as “famous — and infamous” as Woods.

“I mean.?.?. I was in love,” Vonn said. “I loved him and we’re still friends. Sometimes, I wish he would have listened to me a little more, but he’s very stubborn and he likes to go his own way.

“I hope this latest comeback sticks. I hope he goes back to winning tournaments.”

Vonn also revealed how difficult it was to get dragged into the social media limelight with Woods.

Got it. So Lindsey Vonn fucking hates Tiger. We kinda already knew that cause their break up wasn’t the prettiest but now we know it for sure. “I hope THIS comeback sticks” as she rolls her eyes. That’s how I read that. So much shade. That hit Tiger right where it hurts and she knows it. That’s her basically saying, “He has tried to come back a billion times and it never works. What makes him think it’s gonna work this time?” She hope he goes back to winning tournament? YEAH RIGHT. She couldn’t be rooting harder against. Can you imagine the shit she’s talking to her friends behind the scenes? It only got worse when their nudes leaked all over the world.

If you zoom out, these are really just the problems of a normal ex boyfriend and an ex girlfriend. It just so happens that they’re both famous athletes. She calls him stubborn which is always a top-3 thing a girl will say about a guy after a break up. And saying, “I hope this latest comeback sticks” is similar to running into each other at the grocery store and saying you look great. You don’t actually mean that. Just like Lindsey didn’t actually mean any of the nice things she said about Tiger. Around and around we go. The best way for Tiger to win this break up is to win a bunch of golf tournaments. So let’s do that.
